Innr is best known for its connected bulbs, whether they are under the ZigBee protocol and more recently Wi-Fi, as well as for its very efficient Innr SP220 connected socket. Until now confined to the rank of "Friends of Hue", the brand's devices were mainly appreciated by owners of a Philips Hue bridge or home automation box. But that was before. Before the company offers its own Inn Bridge, a ZigBee 3.0 bridge open and offered for only 40 €. Less expensive than many of its competitors, does it make any concessions?
Innr Bridge BG220: the crazy ZigBee!
Unboxing
The characteristic red of the brand's ZigBee products is always in order for this small box of 9 cm x 9 cm x 7 cm . A visual of the Innr Bridge is affixed on the front, while on the back a photo of the application and the main features are mentioned: alarm clock, dawn simulator, falling asleep, and programming.
On the side, the technical characteristics are listed with the words " Works with Alexa " and " Works with Hey Google". A very good thing!
Inside, the deck is bagged and well wedged in a small cardboard box serving as a tray. Below we find the accessories in a small box. An installation guide is attached.
A ZigBee 3.0 bridge
It is a small white plastic square of 6.36 cm side x 2.365 cm high. On the upper side, the Inn Bridge features the brand's logo inlaid in the center and three LED indicators for its operation.
They indicate from left to right:
- Food On / OFF
- Network connection WAN Internet
- Local network connection LAN
On the front edge, the reset button. Pressing for 10 seconds resets the device to zero. You also find the USB-C socket For alimentation.
The small thickness of the Innr Bridge means that this small bridge can easily be found anywhere in a house. We can distinguish the four small pins which raises it by a millimeter.
On the back, the reference of the model taken up by the QR Code which can be used for pairing, the ZigBee acronym, and the CE standard are affixed.
Power is supplied by a USB cable - USB-C with a length of 1 meter and a 5W - 5V / 1A power adapter type C.

Innr Bridge BG220: installation and use
Innr to its own app that already supports Wi-Fi bulbs. Innr Bridge BG220 will naturally take place on the latter and may, like Smart Life for example, to manage and coordinate the devices using the two protocols.
To get started with the application, we refer you to the test of Wi-Fi Innr E27 White and Color bulbs.
Connect the bridge to the power supply. The “Power” LED will light up steadily while the LAN LED will flash. Attention, the LEDs light up very weakly, it's barely noticeable ...
From the home page, click on the " +", Then select" Add device". Registration can be done by scanning the QR Code which is under the bridge. The procedure is very simple, grant access to your camera and place the reading area on the QR Code. The bridge is instantly discovered and the app searches for your Wi-Fi network. Enter your password and, within seconds, the Innr Bridge is paired and present in your application. It is possible, but not essential to rename it.
Here is the installation is finished, the 3 LEDs are on.
Selecting the bridge opens the parameters of the device. It is possible to change the assigned room as well as to view the devices attached to it.
The Innr Bridge and the app can support ZigBee devices from other brands such as Philips Hue bulbs, IKEA, Ledvance or Osram Smart+, Livarno Lux by Lidl, or Gledopto… As you can see, a Philips Hue bulb goes up without difficulty in the application Alexa for a completely classic management.
And since we are talking about Philips Hue, note that the Innr Bridge is smaller. Certainly there is no Ethernet connection planned.
After reading this article I let myself be tempted by this bridge to start an installation with my parents and impossible to pair it, it's incredible ... I tried with my phone, their phone, reset the bridge, uninstall the 'app to try with a new account, redo the manipulations again and again, we even asked the neighbor to use his Wifi to try to pair from another network, and nothing at all, again and still impossible to pair them .
I admit that I do not understand, yet it seems quality, the test shows that it goes without worries, but there frankly I do not understand why it does not work!
I read on a comment fromAmazon that another user had never succeeded in pairing either, that reassures me I feel less alone 😀
Hello,
You see us sorry, because quite frankly too, everything really went without a hitch for us, and we even carried out the operation several times. If you used two smartphones of different models and brands, a priori you can eliminate this problem.
Double check your accounts and pay attention to the case (although this is logically no longer a problem, an undue capital letter can be a problem), as well as the absence of space before the entry (that too, generally it does not pose a problem). problem, but sometimes if). As for Wi-Fi networks, make sure that it is not "hidden". On the one hand, it is absolutely useless because it will never prevent a hack, but it can cause a lot of problems with connected objects that need to see the network to connect to it.
If all that does not work, we invite you to contact Innr support, or even to make an exchange because we are never safe from a defective product in electronics. 😉
Good luck and don't hesitate to give us a feedback!
Hello,
Oh don't be sorry ^^ I know that LesAlexiens is a reliable and quality site so no worries, and this is not the first article (nor the last!) I buy after reading a test on your site and everything always went well 🙂
To come back to my little little concern, I therefore contacted customer service as you advised me. Very responsive support, I explained in great detail my concern with the various manipulations carried out and after a few exchanges of emails it was decided to replace my device because it is indeed very likely that it is defective.
To be continued, but in any case very efficient customer support and it's always good to report it!
Hello,
Following discussions with Innr Customer Service, I received a new copy of the bridge, and everything works perfectly! Successful configuration in less than a minute, everything works perfectly, the lamps were added in a few seconds, really great!
The application is well done, it reminds Philips, the bulbs are very bright with beautiful colors, really very satisfied, phew!
Thank you again for your articles which allow you to see a little more clearly in the jungle of home automation ^^
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted to hear that everything is working! 🙂 Although manufacturing defects are ultimately quite few, it does happen.
Indeed, the application is great, very pleasant to use, perhaps even more ergonomic than Philips Hue, which remains the benchmark in the sector. Innr has some great products, so it's a good choice anyway, and they should open their system in the coming months with Matter.
Have a good weekend 🙂
