Evil tongues will say that "Google and marketing, that's two". It is true that the research specialist has only rarely shone in this area, showing marketing cyclothymia by renaming his services at will, when he does not abandon them overnight. However, when it comes to voice assistance and automation, the multinational seems determined to make a mark in the minds of its users: Nest. After the teasing of his future speaker named by all Nest Speaker, the leak specialist, 9To5Google, now ensures that Mountain View would have once again changed its mind and finally opted for the appellation Nest audio. German site WinFuture has meanwhile obtained exclusive images of the product, but also of what should be the new " Google Chromecast with Google TV«, Already seen under the code name Sabrina, but whose remote control seems to have evolved somewhat.
Nest Audio: new leaks
Last July, we presented to you what promised to be the new google home following images revealed by Android TV Guide on Twitter. A new connected speaker confirmed shortly after by Google with images presenting it in an unusual blue color that should accompany the now traditional pebble and charcoal versions unveiled yesterday by WinFuture ...
A product whose name should in all likelihood ultimately be Nest audio, the authors of 9To5Google having discovered this name already present in an update of the Google Home application. A version 2.28 which also confirms the existence of a new functionality of presence detection promised by Google last July, which should make it possible to create routines "At home" or "absence". A very relative detection since it would obviously be a question of using either the geolocation of a smartphone, or a button on the application Google Home, like what Amazon on Echo with mode Alexa Guard.
About the technical characteristics, if some dream of sound quality like the Sonos One or Echo Studio, there is no indication for the moment that the Nest Audio speaker will have a high-end positioning. Indeed, it is difficult to see how Google could offer high-resolution sound with a price positioning of only € 99, especially since in addition to bypassing its Google Home Max, such quality would not be usable without a music service. HD neither optical audio in / out.
Google Chromecast with Google TV is confirmed
Decidedly well informed, the German site WinFuture also reveals, in a second item, pictures of new Google Chromecast with Google TV.
Tried to be endowed with a Quad-core AMLogic S905X2 SoC like many Android TV streaming keys, this new opus would offer 2Go RAM, a small internal storage, but above all a remote control.
A remote control different from the one seen on the renderings " Sabrina " and which would ultimately have a directional pad, several buttons (home, return, mute, on / off and source). Shortcuts for Google Assistant, YouTube and Netflix would also be in the game and two volume keys would take place on the edge, a bit like our smartphones.
Ridiculous this word Nest, coming from a thermostat and attached to lots of products that have nothing to do with thermostats. Or how to lose the consumer ...
They made it a brand " smart home »Which goes well beyond the first product, a bit like Netatmo which can no longer be summed up in its weather station.
Paul said it right 😛

You say 99 € for the price of the Nest according to the German site but I see nothing on their site above! I believe it means, it's really cheap.
WinFuture talks about 100 € in the article on Nest Audio and 50 € in the one concerning the Chromecast. We therefore deduce 99 € and 49 €, because of the famous psychological threshold which means that the prices are never round. Pure guess, I grant you, but it is a rather coherent price positioning knowing that it is the price ofAmazon Echo, its direct competitor. In addition, the speaker is intended to replace Google Home and not Google Home Max which is 199 € (and not 200 € ^^). On the other hand, I am more skeptical about the advertised price of the Chromecast.
Well, no, not that ridiculous! A cozy nest, thanks to Google's connected tools, it's pretty well typed!
and the release date of October 16? Google communicated?
Hello "Stéphane",
You know as well as I do, no official statement has been issued. Furthermore, we have a duty to protect our sources.
Good Sunday.
Thank you, I had a blast! 😂😂😂 I love Paul, but I had not yet seen this video (I quite agree, see my intro).
Disagree with you, he did not come out with just a thermostat, he had long ago developed one of the best smoke detectors capable of alerting the user in the event of carbon monoxide detection. .
