Amazon add a locate function with Alexa

Amazon continue to preparearrival in France of its Echo Buds adding today locate with Alexa, a particularly interesting feature that allows you to find certain misplaced objects by simply asking your voice assistant.

Following the addition of training mode with Alexa yesterday, it's the turn of functionality locate with Alexa to appear in the application of the voice assistant ofAmazon. Particularly practical, this mode makes it easy to find your keys equipped with trackers or your Echo Buds thanks to Alexa.

To access it, nothing could be simpler, open your application Alexa and :

Go to "More" bottom right ;
Expand the menu by touching " See more " ;
Select "Locate".

You then discover the functionality « Locate with Alexa » which allows you to trace connected objects such as Amazon Echo Buds or the Tile keyring. For the latter, however, we will have to wait a little while for the Tile skill to appear in the application. Alexa.

Once your compatible devices are connected to Alexa, you can find them in:

Application Alexa > Devices > App Trackers Alexa > Devices > Echo and Alexa > Echo Buds > Locate

If you ever misplaced your Echo Buds or your keys equipped with a Tile tracker, all you have to do is ask:

"Alexa, locate my headphones " "Alexa, locate my keys"

How does it work? Alexa determines the last known location of your Echo Buds or your Tile tracker using the Bluetooth of your smartphone. To help you find them, Alexa will then ring your Bluetooth headphones or Tile tracker.
